The Royal Navy Submarine Museum located in Gosport is home to the HMS Alliance that was built during World War 2 and served the Navy for 28 years. The submarine itself is the jewel in the crown of the museum but be assured there is plenty more to see including Britain’s first submarine ‘Holland 1’.

Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth is home to the award winning, 170 metre tall Spinnaker Tower. Get a lift up to the top of the tower and over look 23 miles worth of beautiful south coast. A bit of a daredevil? Why not venture across the amazing glass Sky Walk at the top of the Spinnaker Tower where only glass 170 metres in the air is between you and the waves below!

For a fascinating family day out why not head down to the Blue Reef Aquarium where you can go on an underwater safari and see tropical sea life from all over the world. Walk through the tunnel where you are enclosed around a beautiful tropical sea life tank and watch surreally as a shark swims on by.

Fancy a trip to one of the best Islands in the British isles? Hop on a short ferry crossing with the car over to Isle of Wight and enjoy all that the Island has to offer including sights like the infamous ‘Needles,’ the Isle of Wight Zoo and for the little ones why not head over to Black Gang Chine? Alternatively feel free to do nothing.

The new Mary Rose Museum is due to open its doors on the 31st of May along with the first public viewing of the newly restored Mary Rose ship herself. Enjoy viewing artefacts recovered from the wreckage and guided talks daily.
